Oggi il Pew Research Religion, noto centro di indagini statistiche statunitense, pubblica un interessante report sulla religione in america latina.
Il dato significativo è che fino al 1960 il 90% della popolazione dei 18 paesi considerati era cattolica, oggi, 2014, solo il 69% degli adulti si riconosce nel cattolicesimo. Di seguito il quadro paese per paese (rimandiamo allo studio del Pew Research Religion per ogni ulteriore approfondimento).
